A playground is more than a place to play. It can revitalize a neighborhood or serve as a community gathering place. The goal of our "Inspiring Hope" Initiatives is to unite communities by building multiple Boundless playgrounds in underserved and disadvantaged areas.
Lackawanna County Creates
$1.6 Million Initiative to Serve
ALL Children
During 2009, the cause of supporting children with disabilities took center stage in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, because of a $1.6 million commitment to build Boundless playgrounds in Dunmore, Scranton and South Abington Township.
Rebuilding a Community in Oklahoma City
A very special memorial project is under development in Oklahoma City to honor the youngest victims of the tragic Federal Building bombing in 1995. A Boundless playground will be built at the recreational center as a permanent symbol of community healing and renewal.
Providing Equal Play Opportunities in San Francisco
The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department is working with Boundless Playgrounds, Inc. to rebuild four community playgrounds. This unprecedented initiative in the Bay Area will provide equal play opportunities for ALL children.
Six Inclusive Playgrounds for Greater Hartford
Children with disabilities in Greater Hartford will receive the gift of truly inclusive play. In partnership with Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, catalyst funding was awarded to the following six communities to build Boundless playgrounds: Bolton, East Windsor, Hartford (2), Windsor and Windsor Locks.
