Your donations help! At Boundless Playgrounds®, we’re dedicated to helping communities create extraordinary, inclusive playgrounds where children, with and without disabilities, can play and learn together.

Make A Gift

Thank you! Your generous gifts support our efforts to open the world of play to children and families of all abilities. Your support will ensure that Boundless Playgrounds continues to help communities build playgrounds where children with and with disabilities can develop essential skills for life as they learn together through play.

Corporate Matching Gifts – matching gift programs give employees an opportunity to increase the impact of their tax-deductible contributions.

To apply for a Matching Gift:

  • If your company has a matching gift program, please obtain a matching gift form and program guidelines from your human resources office.
  • Fill in the employee section of the form and send it to Boundless Playgrounds along with your donation, or, if you've made the contribution online, simply complete the employee section of the matching gift form and mail it to us: Boundless Playgrounds, 280 Trumbull Street, 23rd Floor, Hartford, CT 06103.

Tributes, Celebrations & Memorial Gifts

Want a special way to let someone know you care or are thinking about them? Consider tribute or memorial gifts to honor a special person, celebrate a special event, or the accomplishments of someone you care about. Consider turning a gathering into a meaningful event by requesting that guests donate to Boundless Playgrounds in lieu of giving gifts. Possibilities include:

Birthdays

Celebrate a birthday and the joy of play for children of all abilities by making a donation to Boundless Playgrounds in honor of a loved one or friend’s birthday. You may also request that your guests make a donation to Boundless Playgrounds in lieu of giving a birthday gift.

  • The generosity of friends and family raised over $800 for Boundless Playgrounds in celebration of one friend’s birthday, when her hosts invited guests to make donations to Boundless Playgrounds in lieu of giving gifts.
  • One little girl requested that donations be made to Boundless Playgrounds to celebrate her birthday. In turn, she inspired three other children to do the same.

Weddings

Let your wedding guests know how much their presence means to you by making a donation to Boundless Playgrounds. We can provide you with table/display cards for your reception, highlighting that a donation has been made in your guests’ honor in lieu of giving wedding favors. We will give you materials that can be prominently displayed at your wedding. You may also request that your guests make a donation to Boundless Playgrounds in lieu of giving a wedding gift.

  • A friend from Fairfax, VA, learned about Boundless Playgrounds on the Internet and made a generous donation in honor of his marriage, stating that he wanted to "spread the joy.”

Anniversary Celebrations

Let your anniversary party guests know how much their presence means to you by making a donation to Boundless Playgrounds. We can provide you with table/display cards for your anniversary party and inserts for invitations highlighting that donations can be made to Boundless Playgrounds in your honor in lieu of giving a gift.

  • Friends of Boundless Playgrounds celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. In lieu of receiving gifts, the couple asked that donations be made to Boundless Playgrounds to help support Boundless Playgrounds’ mission and support the couple's love for children. Through this event, $1,000 was donated, and subsequently, more people learned about and were inspired by Boundless Playgrounds.

Religious Celebrations

Honor the guests at your religious celebrations and acknowledge how much they mean to you by making a donation to Boundless Playgrounds. When celebrating occasions such as Baptisms, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Communions and Confirmations, we can provide materials to include in your invitations and on your tables. You may also request that your guests make a donation to Boundless Playgrounds in lieu of giving gifts.

  • When a young friend of Boundless Playgrounds invited friends and family to his Bar Mitzvah, he suggested that guests donate to Boundless Playgrounds in his honor – and they did. More than $3,000 was raised!

Memorials

The death of a family member or a friend is a time for remembrance, reflection and recognition. You can make a gift to Boundless Playgrounds that will stand as a memorial to your loved one, while at the same time support Boundless Playgrounds in a meaningful way. We will send an acknowledgement to the family on your behalf.

Donate Your Vehicle

Thinking about selling your car, boat, motorcycle, truck, or other vehicle? Donate it to Boundless Playgrounds instead!
You can support Boundless Playgrounds with a donation of your used car through Auto Donation Depot, LLC. This organization will pick up your used vehicle and handle the paperwork. Depending upon the value of your vehicle, a donation is passed along to Boundless Playgrounds and you are provided with a receipt for your donation.

Here's How it Works

All you need is a clear title, and we'll take care of the rest, including pick-up, at no cost to you. Once your vehicle has been sold, you'll be sent a receipt for your tax records, and the sale proceeds will be donated to Boundless Playgrounds in your name.

Leave A Legacy: Planned Giving

Friends of Boundless Playgrounds may want to ensure that their commitment to our mission carries on after they are gone. They can do so by making a gift through direct bequest in their will or through a planned financial vehicle arranged during their lifetime.

Bequests
One of the simplest ways to support the Boundless Playgrounds mission is by leaving a contribution to this charitable organization in your will. This is an ideal way for you to be a part of the group of dedicated individuals who are bringing barrier-free, inclusive playgrounds to the millions of children in need of a place to play; and it doesn't take away from your current financial resources. You may decide to leave a specific amount, a percentage of your assets or the remainder of your estate after you have provided for family members.

Annuities
Charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts are ways in which you can make a future gift to Boundless Playgrounds, while providing a steady income stream, today, for yourself or another person you designate. You can establish the planned gift today and defer payouts for a later time, an innovative approach to address future college costs or plan for additional income for your retirement. IRAs
It is easy to make a future gift by designating Boundless Playgrounds as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement plan without penalty while still providing for your family. Contact the trustee who manages your retirement plan to request a beneficiary designation form. You may then designate that a specific amount or a percentage of the plan ultimately be donated to Boundless Playgrounds.

Hartford Foundation for Public Giving
Each month Boundless Playgrounds receives dozens of requests for help from parents, hospitals, schools and parks departments wanting to learn how they can create playgrounds for children of all abilities in their community. Our organization is working hard to respond to all of these requests and our goal is to have a Boundless™ playground within reach of every child in America. The demand for Boundless Playgrounds’ help and services continues to grow, and in December 2002, Naomi and Michael Cohen, along with Amy and Peter Barzach, established a designated fund at the Foundation that will help achieve the goals of the organization.

Donating securities
Donating securities directly to Boundless Playgrounds provides substantial savings on capital gains taxes as well as provides an income tax deduction. In fact, well-planned charitable giving vehicles can significantly enhance your ability to meet financial and estate objectives for your family. It is a thoughtful process and the staff and board of Boundless Playgrounds urge you to consult your estate planner, attorney or financial advisor before making a large gift to any organization. Shop for Charity

Did you know that you can donate to Boundless Playgrounds when you shop on-line? Register at www.justgive.org, www.igive.com or www.buyforcharity.com and shop at over 350 stores - including L.L. Bean, Amazon.com, Eddie Bauer, Barnes & Noble and JC Penney. There is no additional cost to the shopper. When you shop through these sites, the retailers will donate a portion of each sale to Boundless Playgrounds.
